Memory #2 Ileana Rutman/Mother

I was at the top of the Carpathian Mountains with my brother. It was an extremely windy day and there was a lot of snow, you could say there was a blizzard. We were getting ready to ski off the top of the mountain 3000 meters high. We sled of our stances and rushed down the mountain at about 50km per hour. The wind was fogging my goggles and I started to lose control. I tried as hard as I could to keep balance and not sink into the snow. Getting faster and faster I just lost it and and my ski hit a rock and leaped into the air as the other sank in the snow and got stuck. My right foot that was stuck in the snow had twisted and had given me a blinding pain until I passed out. I woke up because there was a really loud noise, a helicopter, it was mountain control they had put me in a helicopter. My ankle was broken and I was bleeding. They put some alcohol on the scratch and told me it was gonna be alright but I had already passed out again. I woke a day later in the hospital and my whole family was there there to help me get better and I was thankful for that.
